The role acts as a liaison between the printers and graphic designers.
The ideal candidate has a genuine curiosity for developing outstanding printed designs through multiple output channels.
This is a technical design role, and takes established designs and ensures they print as intended or better.
All applicants should include a link to their digital portfolio DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Preparing and optimizing design files for printing, ensuring color accuracy and troubleshooting any issues that may affect print quality.
Optimize designs for print by ensuring the use of all print techniques available with current equipment.
Set up initial direct print jobs and run all proofs.
Coordinate direct printed proofs with production design department.
Coordinate custom direct printed marketing initiatives and establish quality levels.
Create imposition files deadlines for labels and direct to object printed materials.
Establish master files for use on subsequent production runs.
Create tools for use with 3D Printer.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS Ability to revise design layouts based on company and client specifications.
Must be extremely organized and detail oriented.
Must design with good use of keyboard shortcuts and be able to demonstrate ability.
Self-motivated with a positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Must keep current of developments in graphic design and print field.
Demonstrated ability to produce high quality prints and meet deadlines.
Must have solid understanding of design and print.
Effective communication/comprehension skills - verbal and written.
Ability to follow verbal and or written instructions.
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Ability to learn new skills and related tasks, dependable and punctual.
Demonstrated ability to work and consistently meet deadlines in a fast paced, print production environment.
Previous print industry experience a plus.
REQUIRED Degree in Graphic Design or related field or equivalent work experience Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Job Type:
