years of experience, has an awesome opportunity for a highly detailed, hands-on, organized individual to join our Production Team in the role of Laser Engraver Operator.
This is a great opportunity for someone with sign shop experience or a background in operating computerized production equipment.
The Laser Engraver Operator's role requires precision, attention to detail, technical proficiency, and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.
They play a crucial role in producing custom and high-quality signage.
Overview of Position:
In the role of Laser Engraver Operator - you will be responsible for operating and maintaining laser engraving machines to create precise designs and markings on various materials.
Job duties include:
Review Shop Drawings:
Carefully examining shop drawings to comprehend the layout, dimensions, and specific details of customer designs.
Material Selection:
Identifying the appropriate material based on drawing requirements, ensuring it aligns with the design and desired outcome Machine Setup:
Preparing laser engraving machines by setting the appropriate cutting parameters for the specific material and design requirements.
Design Input:
Loading setup files or configuring the machine's software (Coreldraw/EngraveLab) to specify the patterns, shapes, or text to be engraved on the material.
Laser Engraving:
Initiating the engraving process and monitoring the machine to ensure the correct dimesions, position, and quality of the engravings.
Quality Control:
Regularly inspecting the finished engravings for accuracy, clarity, and any potential defects, making adjustments as needed.
Safety :
Adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating equipment Collaboration:
Working closely with other Production team members to understand engraving requirements and provide input on technical feasibility and limitations.
Efficiency and Productivity:
Striving to meet production targets and deadlines while ensuring high-quality engravings.
Material Handling:
Managing inventory and stock of materials and supplies used for engraving.
Required
Qualifications:
Proficiency in operating computers.
Fluent English communication skills - verbal, written, and reading.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality outputs.
Ability to follow instructions and take notes efficiently.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks with consistent precision and focus.
Proficiency in using imperial measurement tools such as rulers and tape measures.
Demonstrable commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Good visual acuity !(corrective lenses are acceptable).
Excellent team communication skills.
Eagerness to learn new skills and assist other departments when necessary! Preferred
Qualifications:
Prior experience operating laser engraving machines (training will be provided if necessary).
Experience in the signage industry is highly advantageous.
Familiarity with basic hand tools such as hammers, files, razor blades, sandpaper, drills, and wrenches.
Experience with CAD/Illustrator software like CorelDraw, EngraveLab, AutoCAD, InventorPRO, OMAX, Photoshop, or Adobe Illustrator is a strong plus.
